Its a Boy, Its Chanel

To say that the fashion crowd brought their best bags during fashion month, is something of an understatement. All over the streets of New York, London, Milan, and Paris, we saw the Chanel ‘Boy Bag’ worn by every editor or socialite and captured through the lenses by every street-style photographer, like Tommy Ton, Phil Oh, and Youngjun Koo just to name a few.

It’s obvious that this is the must-have bag for every sartorial woman at the moment, starting at $3,800 and going up from there, this bag is becoming a wardrobe staple. This casual take on Chanel’s iconic shoulder bag was introduced a few years ago and every season it reinvents itself by using different materials, mixing fabrications, and varying the quilting to keep the style current and on trend. While taking on many forms including a clutch and tote, the shoulder bag is the ultimate accessory from the ‘Boy’ bag line.

This happens almost every season, there’s a new bag that we’re looking to covet and once it becomes available for our purchasing pleasure, in no time everyone has it. My motto typically is if every single blogger has it then I don’t want it, but in this case I can’t deny that this bag is the ultimate object of desire.

This upcoming spring season, evening bags paired with minimal daytime ensembles, is something to look out for. Believe it or not, the proportions of your day to evening holdall reveal just how confident you are. A reasonably sized shoulder bag suggests that very little beauty products are inside, it affirms that all you need is a lipstick, credit card, and the rest is a figure of imagination.
