The Edit: Wardrobe Essentials

Posted on April 29th 2014 by

We all have those items in our closets each season that become go-to wardrobe essentials that are in constant rotation, which usually results into outfit repetition. As of late, I’ve found myself opting for a more simple approach when it comes to consumption and coordinating outfits. There’s something very appealing about a classic button-down and boyfriend jeans paired with a single-sole pump or even better, white minimal trainers. In my ongoing attempt to buy less, choose well and make it last instead of becoming so easily persuaded to indulge in fast-fashion, finding the perfect new bag and womanly scent is also a difficult task in itself. The other day I spent the entire afternoon loading my digital shopping cart then later trying on perfumes and sniffing coffee beans, before discovering the Valentina fragrance by Valentino, which I highly suggest.

This is an essentials edit for your purchasing pleasure, of all of the items that should be on your list of things to buy while out shopping. For starters, if you come across anything that’s the bane of your sartorial existence like the Acne denim trench coat or MiH oversize cuffed boyfriend jeans as seen below, take the plunge. (Most importantly if you can get your hands on a pair of Stan Smiths or a Mansur Gavriel bucket bag, tell me everything leave nothing out – they’ve both been sold out for weeks.) You’ll here it over and over again multiple times, basically trying too hard isn’t chic. The plainer the better and trainers are basically the new pumps, but I’m sure you knew that already.

Spring Essentials
Acne Studios denim strap trenchcoat, Equipment Margaux striped cotton shirt, Saint Laurent high-top trainers, Manolo Blahnik pointy toe pumps, MiH boyfriend jeans, Valentino perfume, Mansur Gavriel bucket bag
