The Fall Edit
It’s almost that time of year people, and I can’t stress enough how excited I am to start transitional season shopping. We all have those few items that we like to call our wardrobe staples, that get updated from season to season. This edit is a curated selection of everything that I’ll be coveting and wearing a variation of, once the decline in temperature happens. Thinking back to one of the biggest mistakes I’ve made in a longtime — was when Barney’s had the Acne Studios jacket in their exclusive color-way, and I left it there thinking no one would buy it. Trying to justify spending $2500+ on a jacket that was equivalent to first months rent, seemed crazy yet normal after convincing myself that I’d wear it more than 2,500 times. In the midst of thinking of all the life changing decisions that goes into consumption, the jacket wasn’t there when I decided to take the sartorial plunge.

Luckily this season I have another chance and to be honest the black on black is more suited for my everyday wardrobe. Moving on from the one that got away, finding the perfect mannish shirt has been the biggest challenge. The Equipment shirt below caught my eye immediately because of its striped detailing and oversize silhouette. When it comes to bottoms, the infamous boyfriend jean is typically what you’ll only see me wearing day-to-day. I’ve been open to branching out by searching for the most structured wide leg pant, to enter fall in 70s inspired suiting, that makes a maximum impact with minimal effort. We must not forget about the pointed-toe ankle boot or the classic single sole pump to start the season off on the right foot. Leave it to the Scandinavians to get it right when it comes to sartorial fashion to be had, but Parisian woman are spot on when it comes to minimalism and life in general. Which is one of the reasons why the Chicest Degree is looking forward to the release of ‘How to be Parisian wherever you are’ by Caroline de Maigret in September because let’s be honest, we all have thought about what does it take to actually achieve the je nai se qua.

1. Acne Studios Velocite shearling jacket / 2. Equipment striped cotton shirt / 3. Karen Walker D-frame sunglasses / 4. Acne Studios Jensen suede ankle boot / 5. Acne Studios boyfriend jeans / 6. How to be Parisian wherever you are by Caroline de Maigret / 7. Mansur Gravriel mini bucket bag / 8. Manolo Blahnik suede pump / 9. Acne Studios wide-leg pants

What are you looking forward to buying for fall? Tell me everything, leave nothing out.
