The moment that all of you sartorial Bostonian men have been waiting for, is finally here.
John Varvatos is pleased to add its lifestyle concept store in Boston to it’s growing roster of free-standing stores, bringing the grand total to eleven. This latest incarnation is located at Copley Place, 100 Huntington Ave, Boston, Massachusetts. The new 2500-square-foot Boston location is equally subtle, modern and sophisticated.
The John Varvatos Boston location showcases a black and steel storefront, white brick walls, a zinc cash wrap, mirrors sourced from the south of France, a dedicated area for suiting, and a collection of light bulb chandeliers in the center of the room all stamped with Varvatos hallmarks of authenticity. The apparel is displayed on John Varvatos-designed custom fixtures throughout the store.
The Varvatos team has infused this new location with the character and patina long associated with the brand. The walls feature familiar and unpublished work from the biggest names in rock ‘n’ roll photography, as well as rare intimate portraits and live performance shots of music greats from the 1960’s through current day. In partnership with Rock Paper Photo, Varvatos has selected a collection of images for the Boston location – limited edition fine art prints, hand-signed by the photographers available for purchase. The overall effect is subtle, with a richly textured, rough-hewn elegance establishing John Varvatos as the next true retail destination in Boston.
The new store offers all three John Varvatos brands (Collection, Star USA and Converse by John Varvatos) with a focus on Fall 2013 suiting and sportswear (i.e. leather moto style jackets, washed suede shirt jackets, tailored 3-piece suiting separates and premium knit outerwear), leather and canvas footwear, and a variety of travel accessories and leather goods. An extensive offering of handcrafted rock-influenced jewelry and Ernst Benz by John Varvatos limited edition watches will also be displayed. The product assortment will be edited to reflect the best of the best, with a slight rock ‘n’ roll edge, reminiscent of the now iconic NYC stores. The majority of the season’s collections center on elegant tailored pieces that are ideal for the upcoming colder weather, as well as the perfectly imperfect touches on garments that fit seamlessly into the local Boston lifestyle.
