On the streets of London during fashion week, down went the temperatures and out came the jackets and eclectic pullovers as seen on Hanneli Mustaparta and Eve Chen. It was remotely obvious that the attendees who were no doubt looking forward to the end of the season. With the nineties being one of the most mused and strongest trends for fall, show goers gave the minimal decade a sophisticated twist. Subversive plaid, spotted in coat form on Buro 247‘s Nasiba Adilova in tailored Stella McCartney and in mid-length Celine, proves that it is possible to make grunge look grown up. Again, Tommy Ton and Phil Oh captured the chicest moments during fashion week. If we’ve learned anything from Paris it would be, the trick to styling your vivid signatures like black and white is an effortless way to dress without submitting to monochromatic basics. Perhaps it’s the answer to the parisian je ne sais quoi.
