Celine Pre-Fall 2013 Collection

For pre-fall you can expect major height and linebacker shoulders which display exercises in shape, proportion, and tailoring that are potential trends for 2013. Once upon a time we worried for the Celine woman in the real world; she would stand there looking effortlessly chic and almost too perfectly put together. You would imagine that she never sat down. That would be too undisciplined and unruly, and it would ruin the line of her clothes. However, the debut of the newest collection turns every preconceived notion of a pristine Celine wearer on its head. In mostly black and white with the occasional appearance of fur trenches, minimal pops of color, and impeccable leather detailing, this collection demonstrates great attention to a less clean, yet still tailored feel wherever possible.

Crisp white collared shirts layered under slung-over trench coats and pilgrim-like tailored suit jackets, paired with raw-edged trousers and pleated mid-skirts, left no limit to the imagination. There was a combination of brogues, platforms, Madeline inspired straw hats, and buckled belts that will be of great viewing pleasure on every street-style blog come the fall. Minimal details notwithstanding, the Celine woman can identify Phoebe Philo’s traditional ideas and exaggeration of elegant simplicity as a combination of attributes from previous collections.
